On Saturday 20th January St Gluvias Lodge No 7936 hosted their Burns Night Celebration
a tradition originally started by W.Bro David Furr
This year the event was conducted Jointly by W.Bro Gavin Wilson and W.Bro Steve McEwan who played the role of the Director of Ceremonies, the evening started with a short talk about the poet Robert Burns.
The Haggis was then addressed by W.Bro Gavin Wilson and paraded around the Lodge by W.Bro Steve McEwen. After this, the assembled diners were treated to an excellent meal of Haggis, tatties and neeps.
During the meal, we were entertained by W.Bro S Douglas on the accordion and W.Bro Rob Brown on the violin and Bill Buchanan playing the bagpipes.
The evening was well supported by members of the Lodge and their wifes and guests.
