Initiated into the Lodge of Brotherly Union No. 8649 in London in 1975, W.Bro Alan Tomkinson's journey in Freemasonry began with a foundation laid by both his father and father-in-law. His service and dedication were recognized with several high ranks, including Past Grand Junior Deacon in the Mark Degree and Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank. He was also perfected into the Rose Croix in 1999.

W.Bro Alan's commitment to Freemasonry remained strong throughout his life and career, and he became an active and respected member of the Cornish Masonic community.
