Brother Colin Hooper, PPAGDC, a dedicated member of the fraternity born in Cornwall on June 27, 1947.
Early Life & Career:
Attended high school in Bolventor and Launceston.
Began his career at age 15 as a carpentry apprentice in St Neot.
Married Angela Northcutt in 1968 and settled in Bodmin.
After the birth of twins (David and Sarah) in 1971, he changed careers, moving into sales for builders' merchants: first at Bayly Bartlett (1973) and later Wavin Plastics (1976).
In 1980, he helped establish a new builders' merchants business in Bodmin, where he remained until his retirement.
Masonic Career:
Initiation: Colin was initiated into the Craft on Monday, November 10, 1975, proposed by his brother-in-law, Donald Northcott.
Progression: He was passed and raised in 1976 and appointed a Steward of his mother Lodge, One and All, in 1980.
Royal Arch: He was exalted into the Royal Arch, joining Saint Petrock Chapter on July 20, 1977.
Further Service: In 2010, he joined St Enodoc Lodge No. 9226.
Almoner: In 2016, he was appointed Almoner for both St Enodoc and his mother Lodge, a role he fulfilled with dedication.
Provincial Honour: His service was recognised in 2020 with the rank of Past Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies (PPAGDC).
