The countdown is officially on! With a few days remaining until the first-ever Provincial Cricket Match, final preparations are nearly complete and the buzz is spreading fast across the county! The wicket has been prepared, and the East have reportedly been "practising" (with varying degrees of intensity), and friendly rivalry is heating up ahead of what promises to be an unforgettable clash between the East and West. The Captain of the West, DPGM Mike Pritchard broke his silence with a pre-match statement: “We’ve been training hard… by which I mean we've all thought about it and the arguing about the batting order hasn’t started. But make no mistake — the West Province team is ready to bring slightly above-average cricket and world-class enthusiasm. Saturday’s all about pride, laughs, and hopefully remembering how to catch. May the least terrible team win!”
